  # BiblioGraph for Academics

EBSCO BiblioGraph enhances the portability, visibility, and value of your library’s catalog. Users can now explore, use, and access your catalog from anywhere on the web. By leveraging BIBFRAME and Linked Data, BiblioGraph connects library resources within a graph, enriches resources with data from authoritative sources, and enables the publishing of library resources on any website.

## How BiblioGraph Works

- ##### Living lists

Curate lists of items such as eBooks, print books, audio materials and other formats. Lists can be by and about authors, on any topic, time, place and more. Lists bring people directly into the catalog and are automatically updated as your catalog evolve.
- ##### Network connections

With BiblioGraph, your library joins a network that connects your enriched resources to thousands of other graphs. See what your library holds and what is missing from your catalog.

- ##### Publish and share

Publish your catalog on the open web. Anyone can use your resources from websites or applications, and all links lead back to the library. Embed resources on websites, create custom lists to share for courses, reading groups and more. Also share your resources via email or social media.
- ##### Embedded data

Embed and share living lists on any website including the Learning Management System, IR, department website, LibGuides, and many more. Embedded data describes what the library offers, creating new pathways into your collections.

## Transform your catalog

People searching the Web are looking for information they trust. However, MARC formats keep library data locked in place. BiblioGraph uses BIBFRAME and transforms the library catalog to Linked Data resources. Connections are made within your catalog to show related people, topics, items, publishers and more. Your users can then find and use the library’s resources anywhere on the web.

## Create living lists or micro-collections

Create and use connected resources to build carousels and lists of items that lead back to the catalog from any website. Connected resources can be all works by and about an author, researcher, or faculty member, works within a genre, works about a place, and more.

#### Having our data published openly on the web makes it possible to connect with our students and researchers wherever they are on the web, without waiting for them to come to our systems. We already see thousands of click-throughs each month via the Borrow action in Google results and via apps that can use the linked data, and we expect usage to grow over time.
