Elliott examines topics such as the gold open access (OA) model, how many institutions continue to struggle financially with the after effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and lower enrollment rates, and the publisher landscape. The article also provides a forecast for the serials marketplace, state of higher education and value of journals.
