Whether they are looking to learn more about a country’s politics, economy, social issues or arts, the resources that HAPI provides will help them gain a more comprehensive understanding of different cultures, societies and experiences **Enhancing multilingual research.** Students whose first language isn’t English can conduct research related to Latin America, the Caribbean and Latinx communities in the U.S. and beyond with HAPI’s subject indexing in Spanish and Portuguese, as well as English. This enhanced searchability will allow a wider audience of students to expand their research options. **Allowing students to further research their own cultures.** Many U.S. college students with family roots in Latin America and the Caribbean have an active interest in learning more about the region’s history, literature and sociopolitical conditions, as well as exploring issues relevant to U.S. Latinx communities. Students can take a deep dive into all these topics with HAPI’s indexing of journals like the *Latin American Research Review,* *Latino Studies*, *Anales de Antropología*, *Latin American and Caribbean Ethnic Studies*, *Revista Andina*, *Revista Brasileira de História* and many more. **Promoting historical research from key cultural eras.** With journal coverage dating back to the late 1960s, HAPI allows for historical research of the issues that shape today’s world. HAPI currently indexes over 335,000 articles from 700 academic journals allowing students to deepen their research and expand their knowledge of the historical context for current cultural movements, events and issues. **Providing diverse global perspectives.** HAPI contains over 170,000 links to full-text sources, including less widely indexed high-quality Open Access titles published in Latin America and the Caribbean. Users will also find links from the HAPI result list to full text articles in other EBSCOhost databases available at your institution.
