  # Beyond the Bestseller Shelf: Unearthing Hidden Gems for Your Library's Collections Using the GOBI Awards Program

 

 

    GOBI Library Solutions offers adult, young adult and children's award programs from U.S., Canadian and UK based organizations to help libraries identify titles that may otherwise not fit their standard approval plans.

It's important for academic libraries to find the right balance when it comes to recognizing books that meet the diverse needs of their students and faculty. Award-winning books often represent recognized literary merit and critical acclaim. Their presence in a library reflects its commitment to offering top-notch content and staying updated on literary trends.

GOBI Library Solutions offers adult and children's award programs from U.S., Canadian and UK based organizations that help libraries identify titles that may otherwise not fit their standard approval plans. This program allows libraries to either be notified when new awards winners are released and/or to automatically receive books for a particular award each year.

New award categories are announced twice a year around July and January and many of the new award categories are added as the result from customer requests. This year GOBI has added several awards including some that offer content from diverse and historically underrepresented voices as well as awards focused on Young Adult (YA) content. Browse the list below to see our new award categories as well as some popular options that have stood the test of time.
