NoveList Select is a powerful user experience designed to enrich online library catalogs with detailed book recommendations, series titles in reading order, and other helpful information about books. We’ve built NoveList Select to help library staff and users alike find great next reads with expertly curated read-alikes right there in the catalog. ### Enhancing the EDS and EBSCOHost Experience By integrating NoveList Select into EBSCO Discovery Service and EBSCOhost, we are bringing the best digital readers' advisory tool directly to the EBSCO interfaces you use every day. There are five ways that this integration will make your work easier and more effective: 1. **Avoid dead-end searches:** We’ve all experienced the thrill of finding the exact title we’re looking for in the library’s collection, only to notice its massive hold list. Select turns this otherwise frustrating moment into a positive experience by presenting users with additional titles they’re sure to enjoy reading while they wait in the holds line. Instead of leaving empty-handed, users are exposed to an array of titles that will suit their unique reading preferences. This turns a moment of disappointment into a moment of discovery and delight. 2. **Seamless user experience:** With NoveList Select embedded in EDS and EBSCOhost, users can see read-alike book recommendations and related content without leaving their search environment. Select is also fully mobile responsive. 3. **Enriched bibliographic records:** With the integration of NoveList Select, book detail records now include enriched metadata from [NoveList Plus](/novelist/products/novelist-plus "NoveList Plus - Overview"), such as read-alikes, series information, Accelerated Reader levels and Lexile® measures, and NoveList Plus’s unique story elements. 4. **Tailored to the collection:** Libraries can choose to enable collection filtering, ensuring that NoveList’s high-caliber recommendations apply to the titles selected and curated by library professionals for their communities. Our support team can even use separate collections for EDS and EBSCOhost, ensuring that your library’s collection can be promoted as efficiently as possible. 5. **Included with existing subscriptions:** If you balance your library’s budget, this perk is for you! The NoveList Select integration in EDS and EBSCOhost is available to customers who already have an active NoveList Select subscription.
