## Solution

According to Assistant Librarian Joseph Manuel, the library began subscribing to *Psychology & Behavioral Sciences Collection* so that it could better meet the unique and varied information needs of students and faculty in the Rajagiri Centre for Behavioural Science and Research. The database’s content is also helping to support curriculum in the institution’s psychology, psychiatry, family studies, neurology and sociology academic programs.

“The database content is relevant to scholars conducting research at the institution, students and faculty in the college’s academic programs, as well as psychologists and counselors who provide consultancy services,” Manuel said.

The library was also pleased to learn that *Psychology & Behavioral Sciences Collection* provides full-text coverage for hundreds of psychology journals indexed in *PsycINFO*®. These include journals from leading publishers such as Wiley, Taylor & Francis, Springer Nature, Sage, Routledge and Oxford University Press.

Manuel identified *International Journal of Social Behavior and Personality, Scientific American Journal of Child and Family Studies, Applied Cognitive Psychology, Psycho-Oncology, American Journal of Public Health, Neurological Sciences* and *Journal of Clinical Psychology* as the most valuable journals to library users.

Students access *Psychology & Behavioral Science Collection* via EBSCO*host*’s search interface, along with other EBSCO databases such as *Business Source*® *Complete* and *CINAHL*® *Plus with Full Text*. The EBSCO*host* search interface “helps the library to cater to the information needs of all end-users from various departments without confusing them,” Manuel said. “The EBSCO*host* platform's look, features and functionality remain the same even when users choose to search multiple databases.”

To promote *Psychology & Behavioral Science Collection* to end users, the library hosts regular library orientation sessions and workshops, often led by EBSCO trainers. In addition, the library promotes the database on its website and via the EBSCO*host* mobile app, which provides users with remote access to the content.

“It is very user-friendly,” Manuel said, adding that the database is “without comparison.”
