Accessibility Regulations Driving a Better E-Book User Experience for All March 3, 1:40 PM - 2:30 PM Zlotnik 1/2 (M1) About the Session Accessibility regulations (notably the European Accessibility Act and ADA Title II update) impact e-book acquisition, management, and access. These regulations bring clarity and have fostered discussions, workflows, and functional changes that benefit all users, even those without a specific accessibility need. Following this session, participants will be able to: Understand the difference between the European Accessibility Act and ADA Title II Update in layman's terms, how they apply to e-books, and what we might expect to see when the ADA update goes into effect based on the impact of the EAA. Learn about accessibility features and workflows that benefit all users, not just people with disabilities, and how those benefits can be observed and measured. Add strategies to their toolkit for championing accessibility internally with institutional partners, leadership, and/or publishers and vendors. Following this session, participants will be able to:  Answer basic questions about conference-relevant topics. Appreciate their own personal knowledge of electronic resource management, as they will undoubtedly answer questions that the contestants are clueless about.
