You’ve heard about FOLIO, the open source library platform created collaboratively by libraries, vendors and developers.
You’ve heard about EBSCO FOLIO Services, a comprehensive service and support offering for FOLIO that includes implementation and data migration, hosting, training, integrations and ongoing support.
But have you heard about the people behind the service?
From implementation and data migration to training, technical support and ongoing customer care, whatever part of the FOLIO journey gives your library pause, we have a team for that.
EBSCO FOLIO Implementation Consultants
Concerned about how FOLIO will fit your library’s workflows?
EBSCO FOLIO Implementation Consultants work closely with libraries throughout implementation, helping institutional stakeholders think through workflows, configuration decisions and the change management that comes with adopting a new system.
They provide guidance based on the library’s needs and work with stakeholders throughout requirements gathering, configuration decisions and testing.
EBSCO FOLIO Implementation Project Managers
Need help keeping requirements, timelines and stakeholders on track?
Implementation Project Managers serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders throughout implementation.
They help plan, organize and coordinate the overall project, including requirements, timelines, deadlines and dependencies, while working with the broader project team to keep implementation moving forward.
EBSCO FOLIO Data Engineers
Worried about moving years of legacy data?
Data Engineers focus specifically on the data migration process, helping libraries move data from their current ILS into FOLIO.
Their work includes helping libraries navigate data extraction, guiding how data is delivered and mapped in FOLIO, and iterating on those mappings as needed.
“We feel like we’ve been put in good hands.”
“We feel like we’ve been put in good hands.”
EBSCO FOLIO Training Specialists
Preparing your staff for FOLIO?
FOLIO Training Specialists provide training support and resources throughout implementation.
They provide training materials at key milestones, coordinate and deliver pre-live functional training sessions and help ensure libraries have access to training content available through EBSCO Connect.
EBSCO FOLIO Library Service Engineers
Complex integrations or highly technical questions?
Library Service Engineers serve as an escalation point when highly technical challenges arise.
They develop and troubleshoot integrations with EBSCO solutions, including EDS, FOLIO and adjacent projects, helping libraries address technical issues that may come up along the way.
EBSCO FOLIO Customer Account Specialists
Need support that doesn’t stop at go-live?
The people behind EBSCO FOLIO continue supporting libraries after implementation.
FOLIO Customer Account Specialists manage relationships with customers that have completed FOLIO implementation and collaborate with Product Management, Development, Hosting, Sales Management and Implementation teams to help meet customer needs.
They diagnose problems and propose solutions, monitor customer casework and conduct proactive service meetings. These meetings provide updates on support cases, defects and enhancement requests and help prepare customers for upcoming FOLIO releases and how those releases may affect them and their patrons.
That people-first approach is reflected in Heritage University’s FOLIO implementation experience.
Victoria Castro, Systems, Access, & Discovery Librarian at the Donald K.C. North Library, Heritage University, said the structured support gave the library confidence as it approached go-live. “We feel like we’ve been put in good hands.”
Castro also highlighted something less technical but just as meaningful during a major system transition: the people themselves. She noted EBSCO’s skill in bringing teams together, as well as the migration team’s knowledge, passion, personality and sense of humor.
More Than a Platform
Choosing a new library platform means considering more than features and functionality. It also means thinking about the people who will help you migrate your data, prepare your staff, navigate technical questions and support your library after go-live.
So, whether your questions are about migration, implementation, staff readiness, integrations, technical complexity or what happens after go-live, we have a team for that.
Because FOLIO isn’t just about the platform. It’s about the people.
