Don Boyer, MD, MSEd is a Deputy Editor of Pediatrics at DynaMed. He is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in Pediatrics and Pediatric Critical Care Medicine and is a member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM). Don has ongoing research interests in medical education, particularly focused on curriculum design and implementation, program evaluation, and learner assessment; he has served on numerous national committees and working groups to advance medical education practices and has lectured nationally and internationally in a variety of health professions education topics.

Don is an Associate Clinical Professor of Anesthesiology & Critical Care Medicine and Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and is the Associate Chair of Education for the Department of Anesthesiology & Critical Care Medicine at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). He also serves as Associate Designated Institutional Official at CHOP, aiding in the oversight of graduate medical education programs. He is Co-Director of the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education master’s program in medical education.  Don earned his medical degree and his master’s degree in medical education from the University of Pennsylvania. He completed his pediatric residency at CHOP and his fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care at Boston Children’s Hospital.
