Roy Wade, MD, PhD, MPH, MSc

Roy Wade, MD, PhD, MPH, MSc is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and an attending pediatrician in the Division of General Pediatrics at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. He serves as a Pediatrics Deputy Editor at DynaMed, where he leads the development and review of evidence-based clinical decision support content for pediatric primary care.

Dr. Wade earned a PhD in Microbiology from the Georgia Institute of Technology, an MD from the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth, an MPH from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health as a Minority Health Policy Fellow at Harvard Medical School, and an MSc in Health Policy through the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Clinical Scholars Program at the University of Pennsylvania.

His research focuses on the lifelong health effects of childhood adversity, health equity, and trauma-informed care. His work has been published in leading journals, including Pediatrics and Child Abuse & Neglect, and has been featured by National Public Radio and The Philadelphia Inquirer. His current interests include translating evidence into practical strategies that improve pediatric care and child health outcomes.
