EBSCO’s integration with Third Iron’s LibKey has been enhanced to include new LibKey features, such as expressions of concern and document delivery information
For customers using both EBSCO Discovery Service and StackMap, this integration allows a “Map It” button to appear on the Real Time Availability Check (RTAC) table next to a physical item held in the library’s collection. When clicked, the button opens a new tab that displays the StackMap finding aid so the user can easily locate the item within the library.
For libraries that use both EBSCO Discovery Service (EDS) and Springshare’s LibMaps, EDS will display a “Map it” button in the RTAC table whenever a map is available for an item. Selecting the button will open the map in a new window or tab.
For libraries that use both EBSCO Discovery Service (EDS) and BiblioGraph, this integration surfaces items from BiblioGraph collections directly within EDS. These items appear on the standard EDS landing page.
Users can now leverage the "Access options" menu and record tools such as Cite, Add to project, Share, and Download from entitled records on the the Cited By and References lists, which are available from the detail record when ESG Citation Counts and References are set to "Show" in the Configuration module of EBSCO Experience Manager.
We have added an Ask Explora search box to the landing pages of some Explora interfaces as well as the Business Searching Interface. This search box triggers the Natural Language Search mode and invites users to search Explora or Business Source by asking a question, with hyperlinked examples that will be customized by interface.
The custom date range filter was updated with a simplified manual date entry format (MM/YYYY–MM/YYYY), replacing the calendar-style date picker and making this available from the Quick Filter. This new design is fully WCAG 2.2 AA compliant, adapts to all geographic locales, and is now available via the Date Quick Filter. The Date Filter label was also updated to display “All dates” when no date filtering is applied.
The XB field code that released in March 2025 has been relabeled to display “Title or Abstract” (previously Title and Abstract) to more accurately reflect that results will be returned if the search terms are found in either the Title or the Abstract. XB is also being added to additional databases: see Connect for a complete list.
"Full text" quick filter has been added to the Cited by, References and People Page Works lists to help users filter the lists down to works that have full text available. This quick filter functions in the same manner that the "Full text" quick filter does on the result list experience. Users can save time by accessing record full text from the list without extra navigation into the detailed record.
"In this database" quick filter has been added to the "Cited by" and "References" lists to help users filter the lists down to citing and referenced works from the same database as the selected record. Users who want to isolate citing and referenced records to the same database origin can use the new quick filter isolate records from the same database. Users can leverage this new quick filter from the "Cited by" panel on the result list as well as the "Cited by" and "References" tab on the detail record.
