Based on feedback from beta group testers, we made several design updates to our People Pages. Key statistics and top co-author sections moved higher up on the page to improve user access. Researcher disciplines and topics and author names are links that execute a new search on that concept.
We understand that administrators often face challenges when trying to quickly find specific settings that impact the user experience. To help with this, we've added a search bar to EBSCO Configuration. In addition to being able to search for customization options, the search results will include links to EBSCO Connect.
People Pages is now available for subscription beyond our initial beta groups. People Pages showcase key metrics, co-authors and works for researchers, and are powered by the EBSCO Scholarly Graph. Contact your sales rep for more details
For libraries using the Limedio ILS, this integration will add a link in Full Text Finder that directs users to the item’s record in the library catalog when available
Authenticated users have the ability to bulk select up to 50 records and searches from Dashboard Saved, Projects, and Recent Activity pages, to save and un-save records and searches, as well as download records. (Note: Guest access users do not have bulk actions available to them)
We're introducing native support for guest access in browser bar URLs (for the results list or detailed record page, for example) copied from EBSCO Discovery Service (EDS) on the new user interface. If guest access is enabled for the profile, users following browser bar URLs shared by colleagues will be brought into EDS in guest access mode. In addition, institutions that use "silent" authentication methods (IP, geolocation, referring URL, or cookie) will have the option to attempt to authenticate the user before putting them into guest access mode.
"In this database" quick filter has been added to the "Cited by" and "References" lists to help users filter the lists down to citing and referenced works from the same database as the selected record. Users who want to isolate citing and referenced records to the same database origin can use the new quick filter isolate records from the same database. Users can leverage this new quick filter from the "Cited by" panel on the result list as well as the "Cited by" and "References" tab on the detail record.
The XB field code that released in March 2025 has been relabeled to display “Title or Abstract” (previously Title and Abstract) to more accurately reflect that results will be returned if the search terms are found in either the Title or the Abstract. XB is also being added to additional databases: see Connect for a complete list.
We have added an Ask Explora search box to the landing pages of some Explora interfaces as well as the Business Searching Interface. This search box triggers the Natural Language Search mode and invites users to search Explora or Business Source by asking a question, with hyperlinked examples that will be customized by interface.
Users can now leverage the "Access options" menu and record tools such as Cite, Add to project, Share, and Download from entitled records on the the Cited By and References lists, which are available from the detail record when ESG Citation Counts and References are set to "Show" in the Configuration module of EBSCO Experience Manager.
